Every review follows a complete read
We do not review from summaries, publisher material, or excerpts. If we did not finish the book, we do not publish a review of it.
Review copies do not buy coverage
Publishers and authors may send review copies. Accepting one is not a promise to review, and never a promise to review favourably. Where a book was received as a review copy, we say so in the review.
No paid reviews
We do not accept payment in exchange for a review, a rating, or a place in any list. We do not accept written or pre-approved copy from publishers.
Corrections
If a review contains a factual error — a misspelled name, a wrong publication date, a misread plot point — tell us through the contact page and we will correct it and note the correction.
Spoilers
Reviews avoid spoiling anything past roughly the first third of a book. Where a discussion needs to go further, the review says so before it does.
