Personal Growth, Personal Success, Spirituality
What if your emotions aren’t controlling you—you simply haven’t learned how they work? In *Master Your Emotions*, Thibaut Meurisse explores how thoughts, habits, physical states, and surroundings can shape the way we feel. The book explains why the mind often focuses on threats and negative experiences, then offers practical techniques for changing unhelpful emotional patterns. From fear and stress to resentment, jealousy, and self-doubt, Meurisse encourages readers to understand their emotions rather than be controlled by them, turning greater emotional awareness into a tool for personal growth.

Our Review
About the book
French self-help author Thibaut Meurisse offers a practical guide to understanding and managing negative emotions such as fear, sadness and anxiety. The book explains how emotions form, how thoughts and the body influence them, and suggests exercises for building emotional resilience.
Our review
Practical and quick, this primer on handling negative emotions works best as a starting point rather than a deep dive.
Meurisse writes in a clear, friendly, no-frills style, and the book’s structure is easy to follow: what emotions are, how they are shaped by thoughts, body and environment, and how to work with them. Exercises such as journaling, reframing and noticing triggers are sensible and actionable, and the short chapters suit readers who want something to apply immediately rather than a heavy theoretical text.
The flip side is a lack of depth and originality. Much of the material echoes better-known sources on mindset, cognitive reframing and Stoic acceptance, and some claims are presented with more confidence than evidence. As a self-published title, it also lacks the polish and editorial rigor of mainstream releases. Readers new to the topic will find it a reasonable entry point; those already familiar with emotional-regulation books will find little that is new.
